Lakbay Aral: Koronadal, South Cotabato

I, together with my tour partner, handled visitors from the City of Koronadal, South Cotabato. They were about 90 SK Federation members. After a quick tour of the Office of the Mayor and photo-ops with Mayor Jun Jun Binay, the delegation had snacks at one of the conference rooms at the 22nd floor. The Lakbay Aral ended around 5:30 p.m.

Mambo Cafe at the Makati City Hall Helipad

Ganito kami sa Makati =)
View of Ortigas and Quezon City

View of the City of Manila

The Makati Skyline

This is what you can see when you are at the helipad (helicopter landing pad) of Makati City Hall. By the way, the new Makati City Hall building has 24 floors.

Wish Not Granted

This is a view of "Pio Del Pilar High School" from the 21st floor.

I took this picture while taking my lunch at the pantry.
You can see here MANDALUYONG CITY.

The venue was so full.

Unfortunately, I was not able to meet Mayor "Jojo" Binay and Mayor "Jun Jun" Binay because they were not able to attend the luncheon meeting. Well, that's the problem when you're a very busy person. You don't exactly know your schedule especially when people suddenly walks-in to your office to ask for help or the need for a more important meeting arises... 24 hours is not enough to fulfill one's duties as a public servant.

However, I took some souvenir photos during the meeting. What's the use of a fully-charged digicam?
Buenas noches a todos!

Meeting the New Mayor

This afternoon, I'm going to meet the incoming mayor of Makati and the new Vice President of the Republic of Philippines in a luncheon meeting of which I will be attending. So excited about it! I fully-charged my digital camera and I even bought a new blouse for the said meeting.
More details later!

Did You Know That? JEJOMAR

Hon. Jejomar C. Binay is the current mayor of the City of Makati and the soon-to-be proclaimed Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines. But, did you know that "Jejomar" means "JEsus, JOseph, MARy"?
"Kinuha yan sa Holy Family kaya JEJOMAR yan". - Big Boss
That's my trivia for today...

Food Trip: Kitchen

Pork Barrel (P195.00)

WHAT: Pork Barrel (Liempo and Rice)

WHEN: May 20, 2010 (Thursday)

WHERE: Kitchen, Greenbelt 3

Had dinner with my closest friends at around 9:00 p.m. last Thursday. Because I was craving for any meal with rice, I ordered "Pork Barrel" (sounds like I'm in Senate... hahaha!). This food item that I had ordered may not be good for me (especially those who stick on their diets or are obsessed with counting calories) but I can say that I was satisfied by its taste. More please... =P

Next in the wishlist... PASEO UNO =P

Lakbay Aral: Aparri, Cagayan

The Aparri delegation inside the Makati City Session Hall

The Choir

Mula APARRI, hanggang JOLO.... Saan ka man ay itutour ko kayo =)

Start of study tours again. This time, to congratulate our Big Boss. Yesterday, together with one of my officemates, I handled 120 visitors (employees) from the Municipality of Aparri, Province of Cagayan. I showed them around the city hall even if it was very hot. They even brought a choir to render songs for our Big Boss. However, he was in a very important meeting and so we just assured the group that whatever they will present will be relayed to our Big Boss. The group sang an inspirational song and an Ilocano medley. After lunch, I showed them around the city and dropped them off in Ayala Center for shopping.

Food Trip: Starbucks

What: "Grande" Espresso Java Chip Frappuccino

When: May 20, 2010 (Thursday)

Where: Starbucks Coffee, Glorietta 4
I enjoyed their new drink, especially it's sooooooooooo hot these days. Rain, when are you coming back? But the espresso shot was so strong, I felt my heart is already palpitating. I would only recommend this drink if you are trying to finish a book or a thesis proposal. And speaking of thesis proposal, I still do not have a topic... =( Lord, please enlighten me.

I love food. It runs in the family. And I also write about food. Food relaxes me. If there is one vice that I could consider, it would definitely be my visits to various restaurants within the Metro. Binay vs. Roxas

As stated in this poster, Binay won in 14 out of 17 regions in the country. How did it happen? Well, it's the people who decided.

According to the website of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) as of May 18, 2010 at 12:50 p.m., Mayor Binay got 13, 491, 946 votes while Sen. Roxas got 12, 679, 635 from 68, 980 precincts counted. That is 90.20% of all precincts nationwide.

In conclusion, Mayor Binay is leading by 812, 311 votes during the mentioned date and time.

Well, it's not final yet. There is still less than 10% precincts to be counted.

BBQ Cravings

Heaven's Barbeque

"Liempo" Soloflight (P87.00)

I was craving for some barbecue (either Ineng's or that of Makati Medical Center's Floating Island Restaurant) the other night so tonight I decided to have dinner with my friend and cousin in HEAVEN'S BARBEQUE in Savanah Market (in front of Shopwise, Makati Branch). To divert from the usual order of their famous Pork BBQ, I ordered "Liempo" Soloflight and Coke Light for tonight. I particularly love the java rice of Heaven's BBQ especially it's BBQ sauce. Good thing there's vinegar to neutralize the taste of the BBQ sauce and the barbecue itself.
Good night to all!

I Heart Makati

The address says it all. Indeed, I heart Makati.... the Business and Financial Capital and the Corporate Center of the Philippines (as written in salutations in business letters that I usually send). This blog is all about Makati, my experiences (both positive and negative) within the city, and other-related topics that highlight the beauty of this great city.
I was born here. I've been living here for 24 years. I studied for 13 years in this city. And now, I've been serving the city for years.
Enjoy this blog and let's share our own experiences of the vibrant City of Makati. =)
